Abolish 'Capital Gains' Tax Now!

By Gordon Bishop

...Our founding fathers declared war on Great Britain in 1776 over “Taxation without Representation.” In those days, there were no income taxes or sales taxes or property taxes. After the Tax Revolution, America was truly the land of the brave and the free.

Now we’re the land of the taxes and the weak.

Today, we have excessive representation and excessive taxation – and a multi-trillion dollar federal government that’s draining taxpayers of what little savings or investments they worked hard to put aside for their retirement.

Presidents Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush have failed to abolish the anti-American capital gains tax. With Republicans now in control of both Congress and the White House, this is the time to act for all working taxpayers and those senior citizens seeking to live on fixed incomes...
Sadly, both Republicans and Democrats in power have effectively run away with our country and our money. We're taxed as a society into oblivion, and I pity the man who claims we're living our forefather's dreams. The new budget released by Bush, although it will cut 150 programs and .7% of the budget, is not enough. We're spending 59% of our total budget this year on social programs. And this is at a time of war! Six out of ten dollars paid to the government are taken from one American to supply another "less fortunate" American. We should be removing 1,000 programs AT LEAST. Many Republicans are slacking on this, often not being any better than the Democrats. It's called SOCIALISM.

Getting the government off your back is something every American can relate to. Republicans in Washington need to start acting like Republicans and do whatever it takes to fix this mess we've gotten ourselves into. We are NOT a socialist country, but we're sure as hell starting to look like one.
